Eco Attractions Meeting - Jan 2020
Our members came together this month for our annual meeting with site visits to Marks Hall Gardens & Arboretum and Kew Gardens. We were spoilt by Marks Hall and welcomed a guest speaker from Good Journey who presented ideas on how to help visitors travel to attractions car free. The next day we were shown round the successful Children's Garden at Kew Gardens. We would like to say a big thank you to Marks Hall for hosting us and Kew Gardens for sharing their newest experience and look forward to meeting again in June at Pensthorpe Natural Park.

We were spoilt with a wonderful evening of food in The Eden Project Mediterranean Biome followed by 100th Eden Session celebrations and a mesmerising tour the next day. Our members were buzzing with ideas and we would like to say a big thank you to The Eden Project for hosting us and The Lost Gardens of Heligan for showing us around their magical site.
Congratulations Plan Plastic winners
Ten innovative projects, out of 150 applications, have been chosen by The Waitrose & Partners Plan Plastic: The Million Pound Challenge. This fund aims to reduce the amount of unnecessary plastic used by tackling littered plastic. Although our application for reducing plastics in gardening was not selected we wish everyone great success in developing innovative plastic reducing projects and look forward to hearing more. Details of our application can be found online.
