Eco Attractions Meeting - Jan 2023
Our members came together in January with site visits to Earth Trust and The Living Rainforest. We welcomed guest speakers from Zellar, an app that helps companies map their sustainable journey and Youth Environmental Service whose mission is to give every young person a year in green work. We ran an education panel with specialists working on the National Education Climate Strategy and Initial Training Educators Framework. A big thank you to Earth Trust and The Living Rainforest for hosting us. Our next meeting is at The Centre for Alternative Technology and National Botanic Garden of Wales and we will be celebrating 10 years.

Good Travel
We are delighted to have completed the first phase of our Good Travel project to research how visitors travel to our eco attractions and what incentives visitors may consider adopting if on offer. We had a staggering 3000 responses from the public and are looking forward to piloting some of the suggestions. Thank you to Foundation of Integrated Transport for funding the first phase of this project.

This fund aims to reduce the amount of unnecessary plastic used by tackling littered plastic. Although our application for reducing plastics in gardening was not selected we wish everyone great success in developing innovative plastic reducing projects and look forward to hearing more.
